2011 European Trip Day 2

A cute little town en route to Normandy

Just walking around to find something to eat

That style of architecture (to the right of Julie) is called columbage and is common to the Normandy region

I was actually trying to capture the drain and runoff sewer

The lower light is for the drivers because they can't see the higher light when they pull up to the line

Normandy is beautiful

We got lost and then surrounded by cows when we tried to get back to the main road

Help! We're surrounded by cows.

We could have reached out and touched them

Château de Boucéel

My first château

Mont Saint Michel

It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site

A former abbey

You can see it from miles away

John at Mont Saint Michel

Shops at the base of the abbey

Really touristy here

Everything else is very flat here, so you see far away

It's just beautiful

There were donkeys on the grounds
