This is not reallly a picture of me. It's a shot of John's friend Mark who kept moving out of all the pictures I took. So I got him here, while I was pretending to fix my camera.

Yep, the guards are our entertainment.

Now the sponsors' cars come in force.

The big Nestle truck infuriated the people behind it.

There were some interesting vehicles that went by.

US Postals team car. Sheryl Crow did not appear to be in it.

Another sponsor

Team Liberty Seguros, used to be Team ONCE (spanish team).

A more interesting vehicle.

Some french sponsor

The Bravo Richard flags were congratulating the King of the Mountains winner.

The winner of the King of the Mountains wears a polka dot jersey.

This year's winner was Richard Virenque, a frenchman.

I can't remember which sponsor used this duck.

A pig, I don't remember why.

Now it's getting pretty crowded.

Took this for Mark. This is the team bus for Rabobank, the Dutch team.

And I learned the correct pronunciation in Dutch is more like "Habobank".

And now we wait some more.

Mark conveniently slipping out of the photo as John offers to give Kelsey 10 euros if she screams, "They're coming".

Guy on a motorcycle causes cheers. After five hours of waiting, every policeman that biked by got a round of applause.

FINALLY! The first time through. I admit, I didn't have the camera ready. I was watching the riders.

Now we wait about 10-15 minutes for them to come around again. While I had to listen to John say that it really wasn't worth standing out here for as long as we did.

See the yellow jersey? That's Lance Armstrong.

I should add that they're riding really fast. You can't see that from these pictures.

Lap 2 is going by.

The peleton moves by.
